Yuan Dynasty Henan Black Glazed Small Jar
ARCHIVEDA Henan Black glazed small jar fired during the Yuan Dynasty. It has a cylindrical body with slightly bulging shoulders and is coated with a thick Tenmoku glaze inside and out. Henan Tenmoku refers to a group of Tenmoku wares fired in the Cizhou kilns throughout northern China. This piece is an exceptionally eye-catching example with its rich Tenmoku glaze, and the robust and high-fired foot is also a highlight. Its small shape fits in the palm, making it an ideal sake cup.
There is no rough surface, and the glaze remains very lustrous. Other than kiln marks, there are no noticeable defects, and the condition is extremely good. It comes with a box.
