Han Dynasty Pottery Jar Covered With Green Lead Glaze | China, 1C¥11,000 (tax included)
Chinese Han dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) pottery jar with splayed neck and everted rim covered with an iridescent green lead glaze. During this period, there was a custom of burying for the men of power’s dead, and this kind of green pottery seem to have been used as burial accessories. Two engraved line are drown.
Hidden in the soil for thousands of years, it became a mysterious iridescent color that was aged by rainwater and other components in the underground. Also it is very surpriging that is no water leakage or broken which was made 2000 years ago.
A feet appears to be missing, but there is no mark, so probably it was since it made.
