Joseon Dynasty Amber Glazed Small Jar | Korea, 18-19C

A small jar so-called “Salt jar” from the end of the Joseon era. The supple curves squeezed towards the bottom, in contrast to rough stucking clays welded on the base. Such shiny amber glazes have often applied to Octagonal jars, but it has not on Salt jars.

There are small chips on the stucking mark to the base, but there are no other defects that should be noted. Since the rim is non-glaze, it seems that it originally had a lid.
