Mino Ware Kiseto Type Small Plate Decorated with Green Glaze | Japan,17C

A Mino ware small plate in the genealogy of Kiseto type from the Momoyama period. This plate was probably fired in the climbing kiln of Okawahigashi in the early Edo period.

A complex colored copper-green glaze floats on the matte surface of the wood ash glaze. It is a design that Oribe likes, which is reminiscent of the influence of Cochin ware in South China.

The title is Kiseto type, but it should be distinguished with the Momoyama period Kiseto. There are minor restores with the same color lacquer on the rim and a hairline.
