Song Dynasty Small Jar Covered With Black Glaze | China, 13C¥23,000 (tax included)
A small container jar with black glaze that would have been fired in around Cizhou kiln in north of China during the Southern Song Dynasty. The original use is unknown, but it is a highly versatile shape that can be used in various ways.
Plenty of black glaze is applied to the thick clay, and superimposed mark on the rim. Although it is very far from a delicateness, it has unique attraction of simple and tough product in use which is made in private kiln.
Soil is sticked due to excavated items, and there are some chips and lines. But no water leakage.
