Dish Decorated With Orchids Design In Underglazed Iron Painting | Southern China, 17C

¥6,000 (tax included)

A dish with underglazed iron painting fired in a private kiln southern China in late Ming to early Qing Dynasty. It was mainly exported to Southeast Asia, and same type of porcelains are oftenly seen in Vietnam as well, but this piece was found in Taiwan.

The painting of fully drawn orchids in the inside surface gives a different rural beauty impression from the official kiln works of Jingdezhen. There seems to be the same design drawn with zeffer.

Although there is stain and a scar due to aging, and an insignificant inscription on the back.
