Ancient Geometric Pattern Pottery Jar | BC

An unglazed jar with red and black colored patterns of iron oxide. It can tell the rich imagination of the ancient people from the creative design that skillfully uses straight lines and curves without wheels.

This piece can be determined as Yangshao culture pottery as known as Cai Tao excavated from Qinghai and Gansu provinces in China, or a similar one from Iran, or even from Central South American civirasations. It must be a pottery born in the Neolithic culture, but its shape and painting are slightly different from those of all, making it difficult to judge.

There is a chip on the inside of rim. Good condition with no water leakage.
