Ko-Imari Cup with Flower Arabesque Design | Japan, 18CSOLD OUT
An old Imari ware cup made in the middle of the Edo period. The slight curvy long shape and the delicate flower arabesque show an elegant harmony. It was originally produced as a container for vinegar and soy sauce, the thin mouth is soft to the touch and is ideal for sake sets.
There are some minor chips on the base, and one of which has been repaired by Kintsugi. Flower arabesque pattern is often combined with lines design in the latter period, and the one a full filled with the flower arabesque is valuable.
