Joseon Dynasty Blue and White Porcelain Tea Caddy
SOLD OUTA blue and white porcelain small jar fired in the latter half of the Joseon era. A miniature of the typical Joseon white porcelain shape, a short neck and curvy waist, inherited as a tea caddy with a custom‐made pouch and lid. Since there are no similar examples in general containers and ritual vessels from that time, it may be an ordered item made as a tea caddy initially. This piece is a charming small jar that can be enjoyed as sake sup like the early Joseon miniature ritual vessels.
There is a spot inside where something like ink sticks thinly, but there is no odour, and the condition is excellent. Come with a Shifuku (silk pouch with drawstring), lid, and box.
