Joseon Dynasty Buncheong Ware Mishima Type Cup

ARCHIVED

A Buncheong ware Mishima-type sake cup fired in the early Joseon dynasty. It has a moderate depth and size and is a rare example perfectly suitable for a drinking cup. The lip is slightly outwarded, and trimming marks around the base. The white slip applied to the front face is very thick that the incised patterns are blurred, and the surface is covered with rich colouring and lustre due to use.

There is unevenness on the base, making the body a little wobble. There is one old repair on the lip and some short hairlines, but they already turned out to be the landscape. It comes with a box.
