Kyo Ware Flower Shaped Bowls with Oak Leaf Design in Underglaze Iron and Cobalt, Set of 5

Kyo ware bowls set of five made in the middle to late Edo period. The body is molded in a chrysanthemum flower shape, and the oak leaves are designed in underglaze iron and cobalt. Among Kyoto wares, the old wares that were produced around Higashiyama foothills kilns, such as Awataguchi ware and Kiyomizu ware, are called Ko-Kiyomizu. The well-finished hard and bluish skin harmonizes with the low-saturation painting.

One of the five has multiple red lacquer repairs on the lip, and the other two only have minor chips. The other three pieces are flawless. It comes with a box.
