A celadon cup made in Gangjin or Buan during the Goryeo dynasty. An incised thunder pattern is designed around the rim, and the celadon glaze is applied entirely. The tea-drinking culture was introduced along with Buddhism flourished in the Goryeo period, and many tea utensils such as bowls were made. This kind of cup is the cup that imitated Song porcelain and was used with a cup stand for tea ceremonies and rituals. The faded two-tone glaze reminiscent of the changing seasons is mesmerising.
