Joseon Dynasty Katade Type White Porcelain Bottle

ARCHIVED

A Katade-type bottle fired in the early Joseon dynasty. It has a bulging hip shape with the potter’s wheel marks and leaves characteristic spur marks on the base. The pale orange mottles that spread across the body result from reduction firing, and its harmony with the pale blue glaze is a highlight. An excellent Tukkuri that is the perfect size for drinking sake.

The capacity is about 360ml. Despite the excavated piece, there are almost no weathering and no noticeable defects other than minor kiln chips on the base. It comes with a box.
