Joseon Dynasty Kuro-Korai Type Black Glazed Flat Bottle
ARCHIVEDA Kuro-Korai type black glazed flat bottle fired during the early Joseon dynasty period. Its form is flattened through meticulous pounding of both sides, followed by the application of a thick jet-black glaze. The iron naturally seeping from the clay produces a greenish-brown mottled pattern, evoking a serene ethereal landscape deep in the mountains. The vessel boasts a well-proportioned and powerful shape, while emanating an ineffable sense of mystique.
An exquisite Kintsugi restoration has been delicately applied to the chip on the mouth. With no other discernible damages, the bottle remains in excellent condition and is accompanied by a box.
