Ko-Imari Blue and White Porcelain Cup with Pine Leaves Design
ARCHIVEDA Ko-Imari cup crafted in the late Edo period. It features a thin and delicate body adorned with an unusual depiction of three pairs of symmetrical pine leaves, known as Odori Wakamatsu (“dancing young pine leaves”), arranged in a graceful arch. The unique spacing and the design make this piece rare, with no comparable examples. It is a fine piece of Ko-Imari choko that is perfect for collection.
The lip of the cup is slightly distorted, giving it a subtle oval shape. Aside from a minor stain in the interior and some kiln scratches on the foot, there are no noticeable flaws.
