Joseon Dynasty Buncheong Ware Small Dish with Inlaid Lotus Flower and Wavy Lines Design
ARCHIVEDA Buncheong ware small dish fired in the early Joseon dynasty. This type of inlaid design is called “Mishima-de” in Japan and “Sanggam Buncheong” in Korea. This piece is stamped with lotus flowers and wave lines in a radial pattern. Excellent colour celadon glaze applied entirely but unglazed about one-third of the base. The clear inlay design that is wholly used, including the outside of the foot, conveys a high-quality work.
Since it is an excavated item, some ageing can be seen, but there are no noticeable defects.
