Joseon Dynasty Buncheong Ware Small Dish with Inlaid Flower Design

ARCHIVED

A Buncheong ware inlaid small dish inlay baked in the early Joseon dynasty. A delicate stamp is applied to the entire front, and the letters “Yeong” is placed in the centre, and the circular lines pattern in the back. These inscription characters designed in the Buncheong ware are said to have been added to prevent loss or concealment. Since it was glazed to the inside of the base and the distortion of the vessel shape was slight, it was probably offered to a government.

Although there is little ageing on the outside of the rim, no other noticeable defects, and the condition is excellent. The surface keeps a glossy glaze, making it ideal for everyday use. Comes with a storage box.
