Joseon Dynasty White Porcelain Plate
ARCHIVEDAn exquisite white porcelain plate was fired during the early Joseon dynasty and originated from the renowned Bunwon kiln, the official kiln established in Gwangju. Displaying remarkable craftsmanship, the plate features a refined vessel shape with a subtle distortion, and its sturdy foot design draws inspiration from metallic vessels of the era. The carefully applied glaze adorns the plate with a delightful loquat colour, imbuing the sharp form with a sense of warmth.
The base is slightly distorted. There is a short hairline extending from the rim and a Kintsugi restore on the back of the rim, as well as minor cracks and chips.
