Hirashimizu Ware White Slip Lipped Bowl
ARCHIVEDA lipped bowl of Hirashimizu ware fired during the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period. The interior is adorned with a white slip, while the exterior is coated with a transparent glaze, displaying a modest grey colour influenced by the iron content in the base clay. The pale glaze drippings and aged stains contribute to its wabi-sabi aesthetic, creating an irresistible charm. Despite its wounds, it exudes a unique appeal.
There are two hairlines on the rim, but they do not compromise the integrity, ensuring no leakage. Additionally, the spout exhibits only a few chips.
