Aizu-hongo Ware White Porcelain Cup
ARCHIVEDA Soba choko cup crafted in Aizu in Fukushima prefecture in the late Edo period. Featuring a shape that opens in a straight line from the base, the pure white appearance is a rarity among plain white porcelain Soba choko cups, typically made in Hizen. This piece from Aizu-hongo stands out with its delicate, thin body and a rustic touch added by the uneven thickness of the glaze.
A minor hairline of approximately 5mm is visible. Apart from kiln scratches and grits, no other noticeable defects are present.
