Trần Dynasty Amber Glazed Petal Shaped Dish
An amber-glazed dish from the Trần dynasty of Đại Việt (current northern Vietnam). It features a deep body and a notched rim. Five spur marks are visible on the interior, while the base remains flat and unglazed. In Vietnamese ceramics of this period, notched rim designs were often accompanied by relief patterns or decorative elements, making this plain example particularly rare. The glaze exhibits a rich amber hue, setting it apart within the diverse spectrum of Vietnamese ceramics.
Faint pen markings, likely added at the time of discovery, remain on the base. A 1cm chip on the rim has been repaired, and there are additional minor chips along the rim as well as small surface scratches. However, the overall condition remains good.
