Joseon Dynasty White Porcelain Jar

ARCHIVED

A white porcelain jar fired in the Gwangju official kiln during the early Joseon dynasty. It has a graceful form with broad shoulders and a slightly everted mouth. A generous amount of glaze is applied and shows rise to an icy blue hue, while a delicate pale smoke effect spreads over the surface, adding subtle color variations. This exquisite jar embodies the allure of Joseon white porcelain, striking a harmonious balance between tension and warmth. A streak of glaze further enhances its visual appeal.

In terms of condition, three minor chips on the mouth have been filled in with resin. Additionally, there is one short hairline on the mouth and another on the shoulder. However, aside from these minor imperfections, the jar remains in good condition, allowing its timeless beauty to shine through.
