Goryeo Celadon Teabowl with Arabesque Design in Relief
ARCHIVEDA celadon bowl hailing from the esteemed Goryeo period. Characterized by its gentle, undulating shape, this bowl is adorned with intricate arabesque or chrysanthemum arabesque patterns created using a stamped relief technique. The thick, devitrified glaze lends an abstract quality to the design, evoking a sense of transience. Overall, the glaze exhibits a robust bluish hue, with the large unglazed spots (known as Hima) on the exterior serving as a striking feature.
While a slight wobble may be detected due to vessel distortion, this piece remains in very good condition with only minor imperfections such as unglazed sputs and kiln scratches, none of which detract from its overall appeal.
