Joseon Dyansty White Porcelain Plate
ARCHIVEDA white porcelain plate fired in a local kiln during the early Joseon dynasty. It is made from fine clay with a high kaolin content and coated with a transparent glaze featuring a bluish tint reminiscent of Qingbai ware. The front face bears four spur marks, and the surface is delicately covered with fine crazing. Though slightly coarser than the white porcelain from official kilns, this piece stands out among the local Katade-type wares for its quality and craftsmanship. Its undulating, distorted shape adds to its charm.
The plate features several Kintsugi repairs and minor chips along the rim. Two scratches mark the front face, and a stuck mark is visible on the back. The rim shows slight signs of aging, but overall, the plate maintains a fresh lustre.
