Hasami Ware Kurawanka Plate

ARCHIVED

Hasami ware Kurawanka plate fired in the middle of the Edo period. This piece is made with reddish-brown clay resembling Karatsu ware and shows Bebera (a point worthy of note: the ridges of the lip). Among each piece’s differences of Kurawanka, this piece has a particularly old taste, such as the dark colour of cobalt and the one-third size base.

Although there are minor kiln flaws on the back and one on the front, it is almost none used, and the condition is extremely good. It has a moderate depth and can be used as a sake cup as well.う。
