Goryeo Celadon Bowl

ARCHIVED

A celadon bowl fired in the Goryeo dynasty. It forms a slight inward near the rim and is thickly coated with dark green celadon glaze. From the reddish-brown spurmarks on the bottom and the base treatment, it was probably produced from the end of the 12th century to the early 13th century. At that time, Goryeo celadon kilns were mostly concentrated in Gangjin and Buan, but the works of both areas are similar, and it is difficult to determine this piece was produced in which kiln.

From the deep luster and the texture of the bottom, it seems that it has already been used considerably. There are no noticeable defects and the condition is good. Come in an old box.
