Hasami Ware Kurawanka Plate

ARCHIVED

A Hasami ware Kurawanka dish made in the middle of the Edo period. Draw the lattice pattern with bolder lines and leave the circular unglazed mark in the centre. The small size with just the right depth and the pouty look of dry clay glazing make it ideal for a sake cup or tea cup tray.

There is a hairline on the lip, but it doesn’t go through the back. Other than that, there are no noticeable defects except kiln scratches, and the condition is good.
