A Qingbai ware vase, fired during the Southern Song to Yuan period. The vessel rises from a rounded body into a long, slender neck terminating in a flat, banded rim. Applied lion-mask handles adorn the neck, while the body is decorated in moulded relief with scrolling foliage, floral motifs, and lotus-petal designs beneath a bluish transparent glaze that envelops the entire surface.

Qingbai wares were produced across southern China—including Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong—drawing upon techniques brought southward by potters from northern China. The present work is thought to originate from a kiln influenced by the Hutian kilns of Jingdezhen, though the sophistication of the moulded decoration is notably high, creating sculptural layers of light and shadow across the vessel. The ornament emerges softly through the pale bluish glaze like forms suspended in mist.

Several small chips and areas of glaze loss are visible around the rim. Minor glaze losses and an old repair of approximately 5 mm can be seen on the lower body, and there is a small chip to the footring. Apart from these, there are no notable defects, and the overall condition is generally good.
