Joseon Dynasty White Porcelain Cup

ARCHIVED

A white porcelain cup fired around Gwangju in the early Joseon dynasty. It forms a bronze vessel shape that the rim is gently inward and edging from the side of the base and is covered with a bluish transparent glaze. It has a sandy footring, which is a characteristic of the high-quality wares at that time, and wrinkles occur inside the base. This type of Soba-choko like size is barely found from the early Joseon era’s vessels.

It has already been used, and tea astringency can be seen in the cup’s interior. There are no noticeable defects other than a single hairline on the rim. Come with a box.
