Joseon Dynasty Hoeryong Ware Black Glazed Bottle
ARCHIVEDA bottle fired in Hoeryong or Myongchon County, North Hamgyong Province, in the latter half of the Joseon Dynasty. Two dents on the body remind Japanese teaware, and black glaze is applied until the side of the bottom. It is known that the Japanese were involved in the kilns in the south, but this piece conveys that there might be a similar situation in the north.
There were several types of base treatment in the area, but this type of primitive flat bottom seems to be a slightly smaller number. There is straw ash splashed around the neck, showing a pale blue colour.
The condition is excellent. The inside is almost odourless, and there is no noticeable dirt. Come with a box.
