Joseon Dynasty White Porcelain Small Jar
ARCHIVED
A white porcelain jar from the early Joseon dynasty. The gently rounded mouth rim and traces of fine grits within the foot suggest production at the official Gwangju kilns or a closely related site. Its plump, bead-shaped form conveys a pleasing weight in the hand, while the faintly bluish-white glaze surface is both limpid and pure. A fine example embodying the essence of Joseon white porcelain, it would be well-suited for the casual display of wildflowers as well as a decorative piece.
Apart from minor kiln flaws and slight wear around the foot, the piece shows no significant damage in excellent condition. It comes with a storage box.
