Tamba Ware Soba Glazed Sake Cup with Slip-trail Spiral Decoration

ARCHIVED

A Tamba ware sake cup baked in the late Edo period. A spiral ring with slip-trailed decoration called Itchin is decorated on the soba glaze. This design, which represents Tamba-Tachikui, is mainly used for sake bottles called Ehen Tokkuri, and it is extremely rare for it to be applied to sake cups and combined with the neat and tidy shape of the cup, it has a modern design impression.

The Kairagi glaze on the back of the ringed rim is also a point to see. There are no noticeable defects except for the old chip on the base. Come with a storage box.
