Seto Ware Small Bowl with Striped Design

ARCHIVED

A small bowl crafted in Seto in the late Edo period. It features a serene loquat-coloured glaze adorned with white stripe patterns and covered in a charming crackle glaze. While similar striped designs are commonly found on sake bottles, bowls of this style are relatively rare, making this piece an exceptional find. Its versatile size makes it ideal for casual, everyday use, whether for sencha or coffee.

Some kiln-related imperfections are present, and there is a possibility of short hairlines within the crazing, but no noticeable defects are apparent. The overall condition remains excellent.
